Breakfast is the most important meal of the day. What you eat in the morning, dictates your Chemical & Hormonal response, throughout your entire day.
Most people start their day off by eating some form of Sugar in the morning. This is really, really bad.
What Goes UP Must Come DOWN
Anytime we eat Sugar, our body’s natural Insulin Level gets Spiked. This is especially true in the morning b/c we start our day in a “Fasted State.”
Being in a fasted states means we start each morning with a clean Bio-Chemical slate. Our bodies will Emotionally, Physically & Cognitively response to what foods we consume, in the typical Morning Fasted State.
Sugar in the morning, SPIKES the heck out of the Insulin in your body. This means your Blood Sugar will skyrocket. Doing this tells your body, that you want to ride a rollercoaster of Insulin Spikes & Subterranean Drops, all day long.
This is the reason so many people struggle with mid-morning and afternoon fatigue and lethargy. On the contrary, if you consume a Meat & Nut Breakfast. You can expect a Slow, Steady & Healthy rise in your body’s blood sugar.

When you consume this breakfast, you’ll be jacking-up 2 Amazing Neurotransmitters in your body; Dopamine & Acetylcholine.
Dopamine
I’m pretty sure you’re familiar with Dopamine. It’s commonly referred to as the “Excitement Neurotransmitter.” It’s responsible for allowing us to feel Pleasure, Satisfaction, Motivation & Drive.
Drugs like heroin, cocaine and ecstasy flood the human brain with Dopamine. We also get a HUGE Dopamine rush when we do exciting and sometimes dangerous things like skydiving, going super fast on a motorcycle or rock climbing.
Cardio and Intense exercise also release Dopamine. Regular weight training, especially with heavier weights remodels the reward system in your body. This leads to “Higher Circulating Levels of Dopamine and more available Dopamine Receptors.”
The really cool thing about this breakfast is that we don’t have to do any super exciting or dangerous things to Boost our Dopamine levels. Now you won’t get the same Dopamine pump from this breakfast, like you would from skydiving.

What to Eat
Protein
Protein is the first ingredient. Go ahead and eat ANY Protein you can get your hands on! As long as you’re consuming pure Protein, you’re good to go:) The key is to AVOID ANY SUGAR.
Here’s a basic List of Protein Sources I tell my clients to adhere to. Now you can use ANY type of Protein source you want. These are just some basics that’ll work well, for the Meat & Nut Breakfast…
- Eggs
- Meat (any form)
- Chicken
- Fish: Tuna, Salmon, Shrimp, etc.
- Wild Game: Bison, Elk, Boar, Deer, etc.
The easiest for most people is Eggs. But be careful, Eggs are one of the foods that the human body can easily develop an Allergy too. So I wouldn’t suggest eating Eggs everyday for your Meat & Nut Breakfast.
Switch It Up
It’s important to Switch Up BOTH Protein & Nut sources. You can switch it up every few days or every other day. The point is to keep your body guessing, regarding what type of Protein & Nuts it’s going to be getting in the morning.
Nuts (mixed nuts or switch it up)
Any type of Nut will do the trick. If you’re looking for some of the most “Nutrient Dense” Nuts. Here’s a Study that Lists them out for ya…
“Tree nuts, such as Almonds, Hazelnuts, Cashew nuts, Brazil nuts, Macadamias, Walnuts & Pistachios are Nutrient-Dense foods, each with a unique composition.”
Shopping Hack
For years I used to get one of those big containers of Mixed Nuts. You know the ones they have at Costco, Sam’s Club or even Wal-Mart sometimes. That way I was consuming a bunch of different kind of Nuts for breakfast.
If you go this route. Choose the one that does NOT have Peanuts. Peanuts have one of the worst Protein-to-Fat Nutritional compositions. Meaning there’s a LOT more Fat, then there is Protein.
Avoid Peanuts
Also Peanuts are high in Phosphorus and this “can limit your body’s absorption of minerals like Zinc & Iron.”
Best case scenario is to Switch to a different kind of Protein & Nut everyday. But that’s kind of annoying so as long as you’re Switching BOTH Protein & Nut Sources, Every 2-3 Days…you’ll be good to go!
